Anonymous asked: earlier on in your blog you showed a picture of yourelf holding a photograph of a beautiful woman in indian attire , who is she?
If I’m thinking of the right photo, she’s a friend of mine. That’s a photo from her wedding day.
Hourly comics, compiled.
I’ve never been much of an open book so I feel a little uncomfortable about the idea of sharing these, but I guess the idea behind doing hourly comics in the first place is an unfiltered look into an artist’s daily life.
Recently, fast and furious episodes of self flagellation, helpless frustration and doubt have unfortunately become part of that daily life. Instead of pretending this doesn’t exist or hiding it under a sheen of sarcastic jokes, I figured that maybe it wasn’t a bad idea to be open, honest, and…accountable, in a way.

Big old sketchdump. I’ve been drawing pretty furiously from reference lately to try and beat lazy shorthands out of myself. Drawings from The Sartorialist, Phaidon’s Michelangelo, and Embroidered Textiles.
2012 was my first freelancing year, and it was both a great and hideously difficult year. I’m just barely keeping my head above the water financially, but it’s above! Which is the important part! At the same time, I have a bad habit of doing the work I feel like I’m supposed to be doing instead of following my intuition and enjoying myself, which has turned out to be somewhat…a demoralizing experience, ha.
So my big resolution for 2013 is simple - to draw every day as much as I can, and to listen to myself more often.
“Go west young man… AND DRAW BEAUTIFUL THINGS.” Jesus. these are great.

It truly means alot, I’ll post up more about it soon! (Taken with instagram)
